I started sketching representations for my five summers of lifeguarding.

Then I began to try to pick one item to make the idea simpler.

Here, I tried combining items.

I tried combining again, along with characterizing my drawings a bit.

Then I decided to make the number five the focus of my drawing.

More experimenting until the final product is reached.

Music was my other idea, and these are some experimentations with quite a few repetitions.

Playing around with the eyebrows for the right expression until the final product.
